The
Collaborative Inc's name
is a literal reflection of how our organization originated and continues
to operate. It started with a merger of three separate design firms
on January 1, 1973. Since then, we have evolved into a 50-person
multi-disciplined practice - including architecture, landscape architecture,
planning, interior design and graphic design - whose vision
is to be nationally respected for teamwork, service, and design
excellence.
At TCI, we work hard
at . . .
> achieving the highest
level of design on our
projects
> serving our clients
> giving back to our community
> stretching ourselves as individuals
> growing as a firm
Besides design work, our employees are
instru-mental in the day-to-day operations of our Ohio-based firm.
They preside over management committees
|
that focus on design, process improvement, technology, sustainability,
professional development, esprit de corps, and marketing. Open to
all employees, our committees discuss items relating to their area
of concentration, developing goals, setting budgets, and implementing
solutions to issues that are barriers to TCI’s evolution.
But
we're not all work and no play! We
recognize how critical esprit de corps is to the health of TCI,
and we make sure there is plenty of opportunity to enjoy what we
do! Individuals explore interests outside of work, such as glass-blowing
and welding, and share these activities with others at TCI. Our
design professionals regularly participate in the "Art in Architecture"
exhibit, hosted by the American Institute of Architects Toledo Chapter.
Charettes, design trips, office meetings (a.k.a. parties),
bowling, picnicking, golfing, are all ways in which we “kick
back”, re-energize, and build upon the family that is TCI.
