The Collaborative Inc takes its name from the conviction that problem solving and design excellence are the products of many people, in several disciplines - architecture, landscape architecture, interior design and graphic design - working together with the client, as a team. Applying this team approach is more than collecting the appropriate skills and experience to address a specific task. Teamwork is an attitude . . . a willingness to share in the creative process . . . the ability to apply and coordinate diverse talents . . . a commitment to open and clear communication.

Our approach to design incorporates many opportunities for participation by the most important member of our team – the client. Design charrettes (brainstorm sessions), individual interviews, and group discussions, are all facilitated with the goal of reaching consensus among all constituents involved. From the students to the dean at a college or university; from the voters to the board of education in a school district; or from the staff to the CEO of a commercial office - it is critical to incorporate as much input as possible into the design solution. Teamwork is our guiding principle.
