Composed of a series of additions over the past 50 years, the building lacked a cohesive identity.  The design introduced a new sense of transparency by removing extensive amounts of load-bearing masonry walls.  The two-story core atrium is bordered by translucent spaces around the perimeter, including student organization offices, fitness center, climbing wall and TV lounge.  The new building also houses administrative offices, multi-purpose rooms, bookstore, food court, natatorium, gymnasium, racquetball courts, and gaming area.
