The new Samuel M. Jones at Gunckel Park Middle School features four distinct areas, one for each of the three grade levels, and a separate, secure space for a neighborhood health clinic. At the school’s center, the Media Center atrium offers natural light through clerestory windows which open onto the entrance courtyard. The design organizes the building to allow for secure after-hours use of the gym and stage areas.
